Maui Wildfire Safety Guidelines and Tips

The devastation caused by the Maui fires to both the island and its inhabitants has been heartbreaking. Many of us here on the island have been directly affected by this tragedy, and many others have friends and family who have been displaced. While those affected by this horrific disaster are foremost in our minds, we do want to reach out to our treasured guests to provide some additional information about how the fires have affected the island and your potential upcoming vacation. Please bear with us as we navigate this difficult time for Maui and keep those affected in your heart.

Fema and Emergency Information

There are several ways for Maui County survivors to apply for federal assistance: by visiting FEMA’s Disaster Survivor Assistance staff who are visiting American Red Cross shelters, by visiting disasterassistance.gov, calling the disaster assistance helpline at 800-621-3362 or using the FEMA mobile app. If you use a relay service, such as video relay (VRS), captioned telephone or other service, give FEMA the number for that service.
