Our Vacation Rentals in Kahana, Maui
We offer vacation rentals at several different properties along the beautiful coastal region of Kahana. The first thing you will notice upon entry into one of our Kahana vacation rentals is the stunning ocean view, which the majority of our rentals offer. Imagine staying in a luxurious home away from home where you can continue to enjoy the beauty and sounds of the ocean even after you’ve retreated indoors. Wake up to the sights and sounds of gentle waves and watch the sun sink beyond the horizon in a display of brilliant orange, pink, and gold at the end of each day. The outdoor lanais at our rentals provide an outdoor living space that allow you to continue enjoying gentle island breezes and views while you sip your morning coffee or unwind with an evening cocktail.
While oceanfront views are surely a main star of our Kahana rentals, the interiors also offer a stunning setting for your Maui getaway. Open floorplans with plenty of island sunshine, large windows, and tropical island décor make these units airy and bright. Full kitchens increase convenience, making it simple to prepare and enjoy a meal with some of the island’s fresh, tropical produce. From breezy oceanfront studios to 3-bedroom units that will fit the whole family, our Kahana, Maui vacation rentals can accommodate a variety of group sizes. Bedrooms come complete with all the linens you’ll need to get a good night’s sleep.
Things to Do Along Maui’s West Coast
With a stay in Maui’s west coast town of Kahana, you will enjoy the convenience of being situated between two of the island’s most beautiful beaches. Kapalua Bay Beach lies just to the north, while Ka’anapali Beach lies just to the south. Awake in the morning to the rustle of the palms and the rushing of the ocean, easing into your day on your Maui getaway. Then the biggest decision you may need to make for the day is which one of Maui’s top-rated beaches you should spend your day at!
Head north to Kapalua Bay Beach, which in the past has been dubbed both the best beach in America and the best beach in the world. Humans aren’t the only ones who think so, as green sea turtles also flock to this beach to swim in its warm waters and sun along the shoreline. Those interested in viewing more of Maui’s vibrant marine life can strap on a mask, snorkel, and fins for some time exploring beneath the water’s surface. Reefs extend outward from each end of the beach, creating a sheltered cove that consistently offers calm waters for snorkeling.
It’s easy to enter the water from Kapalua Bay Beach’s sandy shoreline, and calm conditions and the reef’s proximity to the shoreline combine to make this a family-friendly snorkeling destination. Snorkeling along the north end of the beach where there’s not as much sand to cloud the water provides for a clear and exciting day observing Maui’s tropical fish, including butterfly fish, parrot fish, surgeon fish, wrasse, box fish, perch, chub, trigger fish, goat fish, porcupine fish, and so many more! Be sure to bring an underwater camera to capture the family enjoying the island’s beautiful marine life together. Kapalua Bay Beach is also great for swimming, especially in the sandy center. In addition, an activity desk is located just off the beach where you can conveniently rent gear such as snorkel equipment, stand up paddle boards, boogie boards, kayaks, and more!
On the other hand, you could also head south from your Kahana vacation rental and find yourself at Ka’anapali Beach, which offers an amazing three mile stretch of white sand beach. Here you will also find great opportunities for swimming, snorkeling, and participating in activities such as boogie boarding and stand up paddle boarding. More adventurous beach goers may want to watch or participate in cliff jumping from Black Rock at the beach’s northern end.
No matter which direction you head from your vacation rental in Kahana, Maui, there is beauty at every turn!
Shop Fresh in Kahana
Whether you want to spend your day along a postcard perfect beach, get active in the water, set off on a hike, or simply lounge under a lone palm tree, you are never far from a wide choice of activities in Kahana. Arise early on Wednesdays or Saturdays to make your way to the Napili Farmer’s Market, which is just up the road at 4900 Honoapiilani Highway and is open from 8am-12pm. This market is frequented by a variety of local growers, who offer fresh Maui-grown produce. Other vendors are on site with made in Maui goods perfect for enjoying yourself or for gift giving. While products differ with each market day, some of the common items include Hawaiian honey, fresh juices, macadamia nut spreads and dressings, handmade jewelry, organic kombucha, baked goods, essential oils, homemade bread, and locally sourced hot sauce. Browse the stands while enjoying a backdrop of live Hawaiian music. Shopping at the Napili Farmer’s Market is a great way to pick up authentic Maui items while also supporting the local community!
More fresh products can be found just south of Kahana at Fish Market Maui. Local fishermen bring their fresh catches here daily, so Fish Market Maui is an excellent place to pick up that fresh catch of the day. Purchase fresh cuts of fish to prepare and cook to your liking at your vacation rental in Kahana, including options of ahi, mahi mahi, opakapaka, ono, and more. If you’d prefer to leave the cooking to someone else, Fish Market Maui offers already prepared seafood plates to be enjoyed in or as carry out.
Activities Near Kahana
Just north of Kahana in the area of Kapalua, you will find a network of walking trails that offer a beautiful place for an outdoor excursion with scenic views along the way. The Coastal Trail runs north from Kapalua Bay Beach to D.T. Fleming Beach Park. Along the way it crosses the sand dunes at Oneloa Bay and meanders along the grounds of the Ritz-Carlton. Keep an eye out along the way for marine life and small creatures found in the tide pools. Part of the trail also passes through a bird sanctuary, where wedge-tailed shearwaters nest.
