Along the Wailea Beach Path
There will be plenty for your eyes to feast on as you meander down the Wailea Beach Path. This trail passes five white sand beaches with a rugged lava shoreline in between to one side, with perfectly manicured resort properties on the other. Offshore, West Maui, Lanai, Kahoolawe and Molokini stand in the distance, while whale spouts and green sea turtles can frequently be seen in the foreground. The path’s surface alternates between sand, a boardwalk, and pavement, keeping the terrain varied. It’s highly likely there will be others on the path, so be prepared to share this beautiful stretch of Maui’s coastline. Visiting the Wailea Beach Path is definitely one of the best Wailea attractions to do!
Planning Your Excursion
The Wailea Beach Path is a 1.5-mile trail that runs from Keawakapu Beach on the north end to Polo Beach on the south end. Unless someone is meeting you at one end with a vehicle, you’ll need to plan for 3 miles roundtrip if you plan to complete the whole path. The path is easily accessed from multiple points, including a free beach parking lot just south of the Grand Wailea resort and a county park with parking lot and facilities at the south end of the trail just past the Polo Beach Club.
