Our 60-day Maui rentals are situated on the island’s sunset coast, near a wide range of exciting activities. With an extended stay on Maui, you’ll have plenty of time to invest in perfecting a hobby, such as working on your golf swing or learning to surf. The famed Kaanapali Beach and the Kaanapali Golf Courses and Kapalua Golf Courses are all situated along the island’s west coast!

Best Day Trips from Maui’s West Coast

One of the great things about life on the island is that no matter which sites you’re interested in exploring, they’re never more of a day trip away. That means you can enjoy the beauty of everyday living on the island’s west coast, while still being able to access well-known sites such as Haleakala National Park, the Road to Hana, or a boat trip to Molokini. Days of adventure can easily be had across the island, while everyday life is lived surrounded by the beauty of west coast attractions such as the renowned Kaanapali Beach. With two months or more to spend on Maui, you’ll have plenty of time to explore the far corners of the island!

Maui’s west coast town of Lahaina is home to a bustling marina, where you’ll find a variety of boat tours departing. Whether you want to enjoy a serene sunset cruise along the Kaanapali Coast or venture to Molokini, the crescent-shaped, partially submerged volcanic crater that lies off of Maui’s coastline, you will find a variety of tour operators working out of the Lahaina marina, as well as from Maalaea further down the coast. Molokini is known for its pristine snorkeling and diving conditions, and the only way to arrive here is by boat. As a Marine Life Conservation District located about 9 miles offshore (approximately a one-hour boat ride), it’s hard to find a better snorkeling destination in all of Hawaii. For those interested in exploring Hawaii’s diverse underwater world, adding a snorkeling day trip to Molokini is a must!

While a road trip may not be the first thing that comes to mind when envisioning your trip to Hawaii, a drive along the Road to Hana is a great addition to the itinerary for those who don’t mind spending some time behind the wheel. This 64-mile stretch of highway follows the contours of the island’s eastern coastline, revealing stunning ocean and mountain vistas and passing countless waterfalls and beaches along the way. Opportunities for hiking, picnicking, and exploring line the route, making it a great day trip. Leaving in the early morning means you’ll have more time for stops along the way, enjoying both black and white sand beaches, thundering waterfalls, and small-town island charm.
