This is one of the local favorite festivals because it is a celebration of the traditional foods of this island like taro. While this is at the center of the festivities, you can also enjoy some of the most talented local musicians, traditional arts and crafts, hula halau, farmers’markets, and countless food booths. The dates for these have not been announced yet, but it is happening in April. It’s definitely one of the best upcoming Hawaii events to see!
Maui Steel Guitar Festival
On April 12ththrough the14thcomes one of the most energetic and beloved festivals in Maui. This is the premiere celebration of a huge part of this culture in music featuring the steel guitar. You will be captivated by some of the best musicians to play the instrument along with workshops on how to play it, open jam sessions, and much more. Find it on Friday and Saturday at the Maui Outlets and on Sunday at The Queen Ka’ahumanu.
